Get a little preview of Vegfest 2022 from Chef Julia!

Y'all, after a two-year hiatus, the 9th Annual Charlotte VegFest is back on Saturday, September 17, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at The Ford Building at Camp North End!

It's free to enter, and attendees can expect more than 150 vegan food vendors, vegan food trucks, and businesses providing vegan-friendly products and services. I'm chuffed to be sitting President once again this year, and I'm telling ya - this is a party you don't wanna miss!

This year, three nationally renowned speakers will grace our main stage – Dr. Milton Mills, a plant-based vegan clinician and activist; Gene Baur, acclaimed author, longtime vegan activist, and founder of Farm Sanctuary; and John Lewis, known by his moniker Bad Ass Vegan, a documentary filmmaker, vegan activist, and fitness expert. Cooking demos from a buncha local vegan chefs as well as two expert panel discussions exploring topics related to health and entrepreneurship will also roll, making this a great place to get educated on the vegan movement, or to bring someone who's veg-curious!

And, of course, one of the biggest draws to Vegfest is the food – and this year’s food court will not disappoint. The large vegan food court features a plethora of vegan chefs, restaurants, and food trucks, including popular favorites Cooking with Joya, Ve-Go Vegan to Go, The Wicked Vegans, and Mike’s Vegan Cookout. Nourish will be there sampling, and Plant Joy will be serving up all kinds of tasty noshes!

Campus-wide activations throughout Camp North End are also planned, along with an official afterparty complete with a DJ, live performance, art, vendors, and more. It's gonna be amazing :)
