The theme for the evening is “Decolonized Caribbean Cuisine", featuring Chef Julio of OMG Alchemy + Chef Brandon of the Charlotte Herbal Accessibility Project, and supported by us - Executive Chef Julia + Sous Chef Sara! This special dinner will open with a "happy half hour" where we will serve light hors d'oeuvres and Fonta Flora beer while guests mingle and enjoy sounds curated by Claudio Ortiz, and will then follow it with a unique 3-course sit down dinner.
Hors d’Oeuvres:
Hibiscus Deep Infusion
Foraged Malagueta, Cinnamon, Sugarcane
Mangu
Taro, Local Poleo, Local Brujo Oregano, Cabo Rojo Salt
Course One: Plantains 2 Ways
Local Callaloo, Mojito, Local Verdolaga, Local Oreganillo
Course Two: Rondon

Course Three: Coconut-Guayaba Ice Cream and Medicinal Molasses Caramel

Most importantly, this dinner will be a benefit for Brandon’s not-for-profit, the Charlotte Herbal Accessibility Project! We appreciate all the good work he is doing in Charlotte and are eager to support his mission of providing easy and affordable access to herbal medicine for residents in low-income and marginalized communities.

All in all, a great way to enjoy fabulous food while supporting one of Charlotte's fastest-growing not-for-profits.
