Local Resources Around COVID-19

Wow, what difficult times we are living in right now. We are, of course, doing our best to stay positive as we traverse the unknown. Each day holds new information and constant changes.

We know we've been sharing a lot of service industry petitions and talking a LOT about our local vegan food scene on social media, but we need action across the board to help ALL independent workers and small business.

Small businesses are working their hardest to keep employees on; freelancers, service industry folks, artists and so many others have lost work. We are fortunate to live in a community where there is a lot of support and working to help and lift each other up. We have been working to compile a list of resources for those in need during these times. We will be continuing to edit and add to this as we see more resources:

Charlotte Area Job Openings - Local companies who are hiring workers.

Disaster Assistance - The SBA provides low-interest disaster loans to help businesses and homeowners recover from declared disasters.

Department of Commerce - Employment Security - File for unemployment.

Give a Virtual Tip - After you enjoy a meal or drink at home, send money directly to a service industry professional who has been financially affected by coronavirus.

NC Artist Relief Fund - This fund has been created to support creative individuals who have been financially impacted by gig cancellations due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

Plaza Midwood Cares - 100% of all funds received will be given directly to those in need.

Restaurant Recovery - Tell Congress to Support Restaurants and Our Employees!

Save Restaurants - a brand new lobbying group organized locally by the folks at Kindred to advocate in DC for small, independent restaurants.

Do you have something to add to the list? Feel free to reach out through email to let us know at info@nourishcharlotte.com
