Thanks to YOU, We Won the Recycling Excellence Award from Mecklenburg County Solid Waste!

WOW, y'all, we WON!

What an absolute pleasure to be recognized as excellent recyclers. And to be recognized again at last night's Sustain Charlotte awards, as well!  

It's true! We've saved 10s of thousands of #5 containers from the landfill. We've scrubbed 'em, sanitized 'em, dried 'em and stacked 'em - donating them where needed, reusing them as many times as we can. They've gone to childcare centers, and  to anyone feeding the less fortunate. They've helped us feed everyone at Nourish leftovers, provided plates for staff meals, and served all sorts of other purposes.

Although we took a quick pause during COVID, we are BACK IN ACTION and accepting/washing and rehoming #5s as we speak!

And that, right there, is the important thing - you all care. You care enough to wash and dry them all before putting them in your delivery bag. You KNOW the planet deserves better stewardship, and you participate, with us, in this small way of giving back to Ma Earth.

So this isn't Team Nourish's award - it's y'all's award too. The whole Nourish Family was in on this one, and we couldn't be prouder!
