We dined like we gave a damn last month!
Compassionate eating, quality conversation and community are all things that we thrive off of and we had the opportunity to merge the three when we co-hosted "Dine Like You Give a Damn" at 7th Street Public Market last Thursday, May 30th.
It was an absolutely exceptional experience. What an honor to partner with Viva Raw again for the second time to create a lovely, intimate gathering of 40+ beautiful humans. To make this event even better, it had a philanthropic twist to it - benefiting our friends at The Bulb, a revolutionary not-for-profit that provides fresh produce and wellness education to food insecure neighborhoods throughout Charlotte.
Executive Chef Julia created a stunning five-course menu that was composed primarily of The Bulb's rescued produce and Viva Raw's beautifully aged cheeses. The courses included sweet potato hummus hors d'oeuvres, salt-roasted beet caprese, savory crepe salad, smoked jackfruit ragu, and brulee'd banana split. The evening went off so smoothly thanks to a Nourish team effort with Chef Cathy helping to plate each course and Customer Engagement Manager Katie serving our guests.
All in all, it was an incredible evening to be a part of and we're excited to share that collectively we were able to raise $715 for The Bulb's work going forward! Thanks so much to the amazing group of guests who came out, dined with us and donated to one of our fastest growing local not-for-profits. You helped contribute to the creative and community-focused growth of our city in one of the best ways possible, and it was a pleasure to serve you. Can't wait to do it all again soon!
